Have you ever been to Hong Kong?

Yes I have. I got back from a trip to Hong Kong 2 days ago.

Oh really? How was the food?

It was really tasty. Why do you ask?

I’m going to Hong Kong in 3 days.

Oh I see. How long are you going there for?

Matter, Elements, and Atoms:
Matter is anything that occupies space and has mass.Mass refers to the amount of matter in an object.Matter is composed of elements, basic substances that cannot be broken down into simpler substances by ordinary chemical means.An atom is a smallest unit of an element that retains the chemical characteristics of that element.
Some of elements critical to proper body function are oxygen, carbon,nitrogen,hydrogen,phosphorus.
The nucleus of an atom contains positively charged protons and uncharged neutrons.Orbiting the nucleus are negatively charged electrons.
An atom atomic number indicates the number of protons in its nucleus.Atomic weight is calculated by adding the number of protons and the number of neutrons in the nucleus.
Isotopes are atoms of an element that have the typical number of protons and electrons but different of neutrons.Radioactive isotopes have nuclei that are undergoing changes called "decay"
The electrons of atoms are distributed around the nucleus in layers called electron shells.
The number of electrons in the outermost shell determines how one atom will react with another atom.Atom that have a filled outer shell are stable.

If people want to be successful in global business, they must understand the cultures of other countries, learn how to adapt to them, and change their practices in different cultures. It's important for them to avoid business decisions that are based on misconceptions -mistaken ideas. One cause of misconceptions is ethnocentrism, the belief that one's culture's way of doing things is better than the way of other cultures. Ethnocentrism can exist in an individual person or in an organization. To avoid ethnocentrism, it's necessary to understand and study the diffenrent elements of culture. These include language, religion, values, customs, and material elements.

Can you imagine modern human life without a computer? Probably not. Today computers are an indispensible part of many fields of human activity, from agriculture to space missions. They control the economy, stock markets, currency transactions. A computer is important now for modern people as fire was for ancient people in the Stone Age.
Some people believe computers have complicated our life. I would not agree with that claim. Society is developing day by day and as a integrated member of that society we have to attract more resources to meet our needs. Our life is becoming hard not because of computers, but our growing demands and expectations.
however, misusing a computer could cause some serious problems. In particular, some children may become addicted to computer games and this could result in developmental problems. Even adults can become addicted to the Internet(which is not possible without a computer) which could consume thousands of work hours.
For me a computer is important for learning a new language, reading new and valuable e-books and for the Internet access. It has made life easier for me.

I recently went to Japan and stayed with a Japanese family in Tokyo. They were very helpful and taught me a lot about life in Japan. They take their shoes off inside their homes. We normally don’t do this in the U.S. Sometimes I forgot, and then I felt bad. Also, they explained that in Japan, people take showers before they take baths.
At first, this seemed weird to me. Why wash yourself twice? Once, I forgot to take a shower first, and I washed myself in the bath like we do in the U.S. Oops! Anyway, I had a really fun time in Japan. It showed me that people in different countries do things differently.
