I was watching my careless son walk precociously on top of the bricks of a flowerbed. Just as I thought, he slipped and whacked his groin. It was his first time to experience that pain.

He couldn't walk, and croached in that position for some time while moaning. Then he managed to get up slouchingly, but could not walk yet. I could do nothing but watch him.

Suddenly, he started hopping in place to fix "it"s position, without any advice from anyone.

I've seen similar scenes in baseball games several times, but I did not know that that kind of action was inherent in men until I saw in my son.

• This is called “붕어빵BungE-Bang” in Korean, but I don’t know what it's called in English.
• Is it called “fish bread” or perhaps "bread fish” ?
• Well~~It is a snack that can be found just about everywhere in the winter in Korea.
• When I was a kid, you could find them everywhere, and the same is true today.

Yeah~~~~ I had a date with my son tonight. ( This evening, I had a date with my son.) (Oh, My husband went on a business trip this morning.)
Today late in the afternoon when I was teaching a class, my son texted me, said "Shall we eat out this evening?"/"How about eating out this evening for a change?". Wow...After I finished my classes we met near HongIk University when it began to snow out of nowhere. It wasn`t a small snowing but big and large snowflakes.Yes, big and white snowflakes were falling down the dark night sky as if beautiful white flowers were dancing. We stood in a long line under the white snow because my son wanted to eat in a small restaurant. Sooo~~? we ate a bowl of rice capped[topped] with pork. Then after that we went to a cafe and had coffee while we talk about random things.

.After that we came back ho me and took Betty and Zzang-a (our 2 dogs) out for a walk. To tell you the truth we weren't really walking. We ran under the snow late at night. My son ran after me. It must be have been a strange scene to the other people. Hahaha.... running with dogs under this snowing dark night?Freaking out a little? Maybe someone thought, 'They must be off their head to go running and jumpinmg with dogs in this dark snowing night!' Anyway after my son gave Betty and Zzang-A warm bath.

네~~~ 오늘 저는 아들과 데이트를 했습니다.
오늘 늦은 오후 수업 중, 아들로부터 “오늘 저녁 밖에서 먹으면 어때?” 라는 메시지를 받았습니다. 와~~~ 수업을 마치고 홍익대 근처에서 아들을 만났을 때. 마침 갑자기 눈이 오기 시작했습니다. 작은 눈이 아니고 함박눈이 펑펑 내리기 시작한 것입니다. 네! ~~ 깜깜한 하늘에서 마치 하얀 꽃들이 춤을 추듯이, 새하얀 눈꽃송이들이 흩날리며 내려 왔습니다.우리는 흩날리는 눈송이 속에서 긴 줄을 서서 기다렸습니다. 왜냐하면 아들이 그 조그만 식당의 음식을 먹고 싶어 했기 때문입니다. 그래서요? ~~~ 우리는 맛있는 고기덮밥을 먹었습니다. 그리고 나서 근처 카페에 가서 이런저런 얘기를 나누며 커피를 마셨습니다.

집에 돌아 온 뒤에 베티와 짱아를 데리고 나가 집 주변을 잠시 걸었습니다. 사실 말하자면, 걸은 게 아니고 눈 내리는 어둠 속에서 달리기를 했던 거지요. 아들은 제 뒤를 따라 달렸고요. 다른 사람이 봤다면 정말 이상한 모습이겠지요? 하하하….눈 내리는 어둠 속에서 개와 달리는 것, 좀 정신 나간 짓 같지요? 어쩌면 다른 사람이 ‘저 사람들 눈 오는 밤중에 개와 달리다니 정신이 분명히 이상해진걸야. ‘ 이렇게 생각했을지도 모릅니다. 아무튼 아들은 산책이 끝난 뒤, 베티와 짱아에게 따뜻한 목욕을 시켜 주었습니다.

자 이제, 여러분이 제가 왜 그곳을 “하늘 수영장’ 이라고 부르는지 아시겠어요?
최근, 싱가포르에“Marina Bay Sands”.라는 호텔이 생겼답니다.
그래서, 제가 그 호텔 수영장을 인터넷에서 찾아 보았어요. 와~~~~와우`~ 정말 정말 굉장합니다!
아마 여러분이 그 수영장에서 수영을 하면 수영장 아래로 떨어질까 봐 무서워질 겁니다.
왜냐하면~~ 그 수영장은 턱이 없어서 물이 계속 흘러 내리기 때문이지요. 마치 폭포처럼 말입니다. 조심하세요! 도시 한가운데로 수영복 차림으로 떨어지지 않으려면 말이지요!

이 수영장에 대해 조금만 말씀 드릴께요.이 호텔은, 이탈리아인 ‘Moshe Safdie’ 가 설계했고, 한국의 ‘쌍룡건축’ 이 호텔을 완성했다고 합니다. 믿을 수 없는 독특한 설계와 불가능해 보이는 건축물을 완성시킨 일에 그저 놀랄 뿐입니다. 인간의 창조력과 능력의 끝은 과연 어디까지일까요?

You can make someone's day. That's a nice thing to do.
Increased positivity. Keeping your focus on the positive parts in people expands your own positivity. You'll notice more positive things about yourself, your own life and other things in your surroundings. What you focus on in your everyday life you'll see everywhere, not just in other people.
You get what you give. Don't keep this in the forefront of your mind while giving a compliment. It may make the compliment seem insincere and like you are just out to get something from the other person. But still, people often have a strong feeling of wanting to give what they got. Perhaps not right away, but over time reciprocity and a positive relationship can build. And in general, what you give you tend to get back from the world around you.
Attractiveness. Positivity, appreciation and being able to genuinely express yourself are three attractive traits both in personal and professional relationships. People tend to want to hang around and work with people that have such traits.
It's fun. When you give a genuine compliment you ignite a spark of happy feelings inside of yourself.

It may be - at least in some cases - a good practise to not compliment on something that the other person doesn't have much control over. Or something that he or she has been complimented on a thousand times before. Looks and other more superficial stuff are examples of such things.

A compliment that is kinda expected will not be that powerful. And even though your compliment is genuine it may just be lumped together with all those other similar and not so genuine compliments the person has received.

Instead, observe what makes this person tick. What are his/her passions, qualities, interests and proudest achievements? What can you genuinely appreciate about those things?
Now, go out and make someone's day.
