• Many people who are interested in languages met in a café in Seoul, and talked about various languages.

• If someone who is interested about this meeting, you can ask me by message, I can tell you about that meeting in more detail.
• That meeting is held every Monday in Seoul.
• Ah, you can just buy a cup of drink when you come in, it`s just ok!
• But you should apply before to join, in order for preparing better.

오늘은 아들을 따라서 어학 모임에 가보았습니다.
언어에 관심 있는 친구들이 서울의 한 까페에 모여서, 다양한 언어로 이야기를 나누었습니다.
다양한 국적의 친구들이 와서 다양한 언어로 서로 이야기를 나누는데, 여러분 재미있어 보이지 않으세요?
만약 이 모임에 관심 있는 친구는 제게 물어 보세요. 제가 아는 대로 알려 드리겠습니다.
그 모임은 매주 월요일 저녁 서울에서 열리며, 참석시엔 음료수 한잔만 사 마시면 된답니다. 그리고 보다 순조로운 진행을 위해서 참석 전에, 신청을 해 주셔야 합니다.

오늘 첫 번째 사진은 모임에 가는 길에 찍은 지하철 2호선 홍대입구역 계단입니다.
두 번째 사진은 어젯밤에 먹은 “야식”인데,
①베티와 짱아가 열심히 간식을 먹고 있는 중입니다,이며,,
②TV에서는 1박 2일 프로그램에서 야식 먹기 시합중이네요.
③우리 집 거실에서 우리 가족이 야식으로 먹은 “파닭과 생맥주” 입니다.
참, “야식”이란 한밤중에 먹는 간식을 말합니다.

今天我跟着儿子一起去参加了语言小组的活动。

今天的第一张的照片是我去参加语言小组活动的时候在第二号线地铁洪大入口的楼梯上拍的。
第二张是昨天吃的“夜宵［yè xiāo] （宵夜/消夜）”。

②在(电视or综艺节目)“两天一夜”里为了争夜食他们正在比赛中。
③我的家人在客厅里边看着 “两天一夜”边吃夜宵（宵夜/消夜）“葱鸡和扎啤(生啤酒)”。

A toast to our family members living in harmony!
I went to Itewon with my son and my husband in this evening because my son returned home today.
Yes, I can finally say “return home” — and what’s more, “completely”! ^^
Yes, this/that means that he was discharged from Korean military service today.
So our family went to Iteawon for dinner (=to have dinner).
After I finished my afternoon class, ‘the three of us’ drove to Itewon, and we had a light dinner with beer, pizza, and spaghetti.
Em, today’s picture is my son and my husband ‘celebrating with draft beer’.
I’d better (=I should) introduce my son a little to you now.
My son served in the Korean army (=as a Korean soldier) for 22 months, and ‘during this time’ he ‘had interpretation service’ in Afghan for 6 months.
I believe it helped to enlarge his experience. I hope so!
So, now he finally ‘served (=completed) his duty’ of national defence as a Korean young man.
He had studied in the USA for the 7 years ‘before his military service’, and now he ‘has also finished’ his duty as a healthy Korean young man.
Therefore I ‘imagine’ he feels so free and easy now.
But on the other hand, he is probably ‘burdened with finding a suitable job’ for himsel.
‘I just hope’ he will find ‘work that suits him’ and choose a ‘job he likes’.
I hope he will love his work and enjoy it.
As for me, ‘starting today’, we will be living together (again). ^^.
I hope we will ‘continue to live in more harmony’.

*The second picture is my husband is toasting my son with soju at the Noliangjin fish market last week, when it was my son’s last vacation from the army.

• Maybe/ Probably there’s not one person who doesn’t have a friend. What do you think about this?
• Today suddenly, it occurred to me “where do our friendships comes from?”
• But of course, we have many kinds of friends.
• for example, Elementary school friends? middle /high school friends，University friends?
• When we go out out in the world we become friends with our co-workers.
• and also, your neighbors are also one of your good friends.
• Oh, there are friends you meet when you travel.
• Also, there are online friends that we meet on the internet like us in lang-8 with same hobby.

우리들은 모두 친구들을 가지고 있다.
아마도, 이 세상에 친구가 없는 이는 없을 것이다. 그렇지 않은가요?
여러분은 어떻게 생각하세요?
오늘 우연히 ’친구의 범위는 어디까지일까?’ 에 대해 생각하게 되었다.
우리는 사람을 알게 되면 친구라고 부르게 된다. 말하자면 ’그 사람은/ 이 사람은 제 친구입니다.’ 라고 한다.
또한 가슴 속 깊은 비밀까지도 편히 터 놓을 수 있어야 진정한 친구라고 말할 수 있는가? 그리고 또? 물론 우리는 각양각색의, 다양한 형태의 친구들을 가지고 있다.

예를 들자면,
초등학교 때의 친구,
중고등학교 때의 친구,
그리고 대학교 때 친구?
사회에 나와서, 막 사회에 첫발을 내 디딜 때 알게 된 직장동료들,
그외에도 이웃집 또한 무척 좋은 친구중 하나이다.

아, 그리고 여행시에 우연히 알게 된 친구들도 있을테고..
이외에도 우리 lang-8 친구들처럼, 인터넷상에서 같은 취미로 인해 교류하게 된 인터넷 친구들도 있다.,
비록 서로 다른 정도와 서로 다른 각도에서 보게 되는 친구들이지만, 그들은 모두 나의 친구들이다.
친구들은 각각 모두 다른 생각, 다른 느낌, 다른 정서를 가지고 있으며, 그 하나하나 모두가 나 자신의 삶속에서 매우 중요한 존재들이다.
”좋고 안 좋고’, ‘중요하고 중요하지 않고’ 가 아니다.
나 자신이 그 친구들과 사이에서 서로 고유한 느낌과 정서를 갖고 있음을 인식하며, 또한 가슴으로 느끼고 있는 그 자체가 가장 중요하다고 여긴다.

마치 별들이 하늘에서 서로 다른 거리에서 서로 다른 크기로 다른 색으로써 빛을 내듯이, 내 친구들은 내 마음 속에서 각양각색의 다른 각도로 / 다른 거리에서/ 다른 감정으로써 끊임없이 나를 비추어 주고 있는 것이다.
그럼으로 인하여 우리들은 오늘 이 자리에 있을 수 있는 것이다.

(Jul 2nd 2010 ) <Carmen>
• Last night, I went to wtch Carmen with my friend。
• In fact, she invited me, haha~ because her husband doesn`t enjoy opera.
• So I am a lucky person. Thanks to her husband.^^/
• We went to ‘’The Art center’. The show began at 7:30pm, and finished at 10:40pm, and had 4 acts. It was so nice!
• The person who and the part of the heroine came from Prague was wonderful! Carmen sang ‘Love is a rebellious bird’ .
• So now how about we try enjoying it once more?

• Can you feel her powerful passion?
• After the curtain came down, we left.
• Wow~ How fresh that night air was! The deep night air was so fresh, it made me so happy! The art center ‘was right beside a small mountain.
• Wow I really like those feelings and smells. (natural feeling/natural smell/ natural mood)
• That late night air was filled with the fragrance of grass and trees, evocative of Carmen and , her passionate song.
• When we returned home we were so happy.

어젯밤, 나는 친구와 함께 오페라 카르멘을 보러 갔습니다.
사실, 그녀 남편이 오페라를 좋아 하지 않기 때문에 그 친구가 나를 초대한거랍니다.
하하~~나는 복이 많지요? ‘친구 남편에게 감사 드립니다!’
우리는 ‘예술의 전당’에 갔습니다.
오페라는 ’7:30′에 시작해서 10:40분에 끝났습니다. 모두 4막이었는데 정말 좋았습니다.
프라하에서 온 여주인공의 노래는 정말 멋있었습니다.
카르멘은 ‘Love is a rebellious bird/사랑은 자유로운 새’ 를 불렀습니다.
우리 지금 다시 한번 들어 볼까요?
카르멘의 열정이 느껴지시나요?

막이 내린 뒤, 우리는 밖으로 나왔습니다.
와~~ 밤공기가 얼마나 상쾌한지 !!!!
깊은 밤의 공기가 정말 기분 좋아서, 나는 너무 행복했답니다!
‘예술의 전당’은 바로 산 근처에 있거든요.
와~~ 그런 분위기와 느낌, 향기를 나는 정말 좋아해요.
그날밤의 공기는 풀향기와 나무 냄새로 가득 했어요. 그리고 물론 카르멘의 열정도요.
집으로 돌아오는 길이 참 행복했습니다.

(2010.7.2) －《卡曼达里 [kǎ màn dá lǐ] (Carman) 》—
今晚我去看了歌剧‘卡曼达里‘(Carman)。
写今天的日记之前，首先我要感谢今晚邀请我的朋友（首先我跟邀请我的朋友要表示感谢！）因为我朋友的丈夫不太喜欢看歌剧，所以她请我陪[她]一起去看了。 (她=我朋友) 那么我[到底是]要感谢她的丈夫还是她呢？︿ｏ︿哈哈，
不管怎么样我的运气多么好[啊]！
这样，我和朋友一起去首尔的‘艺术的天堂’看了‘卡曼达里‘。
歌剧Ｃａｒｍｅｎ　７：３０开始到１０：４０结束。演了３个小时，总共四幕。
从布拉格 [bù lā gé]来的女角的[歌唱]得特别好。‘Love is a rebellious bird’。充满了她的热情。就这样，我觉得今晚的歌剧太好了！
歌剧结束后出来的时候能闻到[夏夜新鲜]的空气。
而且由于这个地方就在小山脚下，还可以闻到树叶草的香味。
我特别喜欢这种花草树木清新的香味。
于是我的心裡就开始充满幸福感。
回家的路上我有点太兴奋了！
恩～～我要[对]大家表示感谢！
他们（请我的朋友／演员们／艺术天堂／山上的空气／。。等等太多了）都给我这样感动的时刻！
我感觉到我们有时候需要通过[观看]感人的艺术作品来改变自己的情绪。

Dear Mrs. Connor,
I am really happy to get your offer for summer camps in the United States. I speak English very well and I have been going to summer camps in the Czech Republic for 5 years. I was one of the two leaders of the children's group. There were usually around 16 children in the group. I got a lot of experience and I am sure that I am a suitable person for you. I also organized some trips around the summer camps. We did also 2 day trips, and camped in the countryside. We also played a lot of games and made some hand-made products (as gifts for children´s parents from the summer camp).In the evening we played games, held quizzes, and we sat around the fire and sang camp songs. There were usually 8 groups in the summer camp. Every day one group helped in the kitchen, and children also went on patrol during the day and night. At the beginning of my writing I would like to inform you that a group will have 16 students and 2 teachers. These students were chosen because of their study results. It was prepared as a motivation for students to get great results and marks at our technical school.
I am sure we will have an enjoyable time, and we will get an opportunity to have lots of discussions in English. Speaking with native speakers is the best way to achieve improvements in language knowledge.
If possible, I would like to divide our students between English-speaking families because of more space for communication. Our students also can learn about culture and habits in these families.
Our students haven´t been to the UK such as in London. We would like to do some sightseeing around the city.
We can also go outside of London to Salisbury. There is a famous landmark called Stonehenge. I hope that the weather will be good during our trip. We can do some team sports in parks such as soccer and volleyball.
What kind of weather is usually in September? It is well known that the weather is quite rainy in the UK. What clothes should students take with them?

Naturally, there are a lot of possibilities for travels. The type of transport is based on the distance.
I take trains for short distances. It is quite fast, and we can safely travel to more places worldwide than people taking bus transport.
I prefer taking planes for longer distances. It is the fastest type of transport because of the distance. There are low-cost airlines which are not expensive. If you want to get the cheapest price for a plane ticket, you can take a flight through another country. I have taken flights from Prague through Frankfurt with a final destination in Helsinki. Somebody can say that it is not convenient to change planes and wait at another airport. That is true. Nevertheless, it is the cheapest solution to take a plane. Sometimes it seems unbelievable that people fly more kilometers (mils) by plane, and the final price is cheaper than a direct flight. It depends on the policy and business of airlines. They want to have a lot passengers, so it is worth it to them to offer these variants.
If you are, for example, in Helsinki, you can travel to Stockholm. I really recommend to go by a ferry. I have taken a transport by a ferry 3 times. The atmosphere was also unforgettable because of clubs, restaurants, and parties on the ferry.
