–(Sep 25th ２０１０. Sat))Hi everybody, How are you? Today is Saturday.And finally, Chuseok(Korean traiditional Holiday) is over, right?
On Chuseok that day, I went to my husband`s oldest brother`s house and had a ancestor-memorial services with my husband`s 5 brothers`s familes.
Then in the late afternoon I went to my parents `s house with my husband.(and took my 2 dogs named ‘Betty’and ‘Zzang-A’)
My sister`s family came at the same time. (and brought her 1 dog, named Konan’)
So we had a dinner with my mom and dad together.
Then where were my two brothers`s families ?
Haha ~~They also had to go to see their wife`s parents.
Don`t you think so? So it`s fair. Fair’s fair! !) ((((^__^)))
Wife`s parents are called ‘ parents-in-law’ right?
Fair’s fair?
When celebrating a Korean holiday, usually, in the morning the wife visits husband’s family and celebrates ancestor-memorial services with with her in-laws(family of husband), then in the late afternoon the husband visits to his wife´s old home see wife`s parents (parents-in-law)with wife.
How is it? Does it seem fair?
After I returned to my house, yesterday I went to bed very early, and had a very deep sleep.
This morning when I got up I felt very clear.
Probably during these days I had been a lack of sleep.
Anyway when I ate brunch, the blue and clean sky was seen through the window.
Wow ~~ How Clean! How Nice! How Beautiful IT IS!
We decided to go out, so I carried inline-skates on my back and took Betty and Zzang-a with my husband.
How beautiful, how precious the fresh air!
Even though the sunlight dazzled my eyes a tittle, the air was so clean and fresh, it made me feel so refreshed in mind and body.
The weather Like today, it has been a long time, really.
Wa ~~~ ~~~~ When I raised my head and looked at sky, there were white fleecy clouds, it looked like a fairy-tale world, it was a distinctive[romantic] atmosphere.
My husband had walked along the river with Betty, and I had inline-skated with Zzang-A.
Why?
Because Betty is old so walking is better for her, on the other hand Zzang-a is a young dog, of course he prefers running and jumping over walking.

(Sep.23.2011) Hi,everyone, how are you all? It's a peaceful weekend evening. Did you have good time? This time I`m trying to write English entry from yesterday`s my Chinese entry. I`m sure I have been/made a quiet a few mistakes. Please correct any you find. ☆THANKS for reading!☆■It`s very late . It`s already in the middle of night.However, tomorrow is the weekend; I don`t need go to work,
therefore I don't need to worry about getting up late even if I go to bed late. That's a relief.This time I'll introduce to you some Korean noodles which are in today's pictures。These are pictures which I took when I ate today's dinner.
In these pictures there are two kinds of noodles: purple and white.
The purple noodles are named/called/ " red bean kalguksu/ chopped noodles"팥 칼국수, and the other white noodles are called/ named " short-necked clam kalguksu。In addition there`s "cheese dumpling".I ate this yesterday evening, it was a good meal.It was very delicious.This is everyday (/ ordinary/commonplace/ mainstream) food in Korea.These are everyday (/ ordinary/commonplace/ mainstream)meals(food)in Korea. I'm trying to speaking English with my teacher of philosophy, but it is very difficult, then I have to try speaking with myself about philosophycal arguments.
Yesterday, in a shopping centre, a shop assistant said me that window shopping is forbidden in their shop.
All these hardships have molded my temper.
Keeping positive entities in our lives in our present is also necessary to cultivate a more positive forthcoming.

Yes I do.

I don't like to hear it when Japanese people say to my foreign friends, "Oh, you have lost weight," or even worse, " you have gained weight," as soon as they bump into each other.

The other day, I was with my American friend, when we ran into my mom, who was also with her friends, on the street. My mom was very happy to meet us, and said, "Ah, gaijin-san, long time no see" in Japanese. Then, she said, " Oh, you have lost weight, haven't you?" to my friend.

It's difficult to get across to my mom about the concept of "gaijin," because she has had no doubt that the word "gaijin-san" is a respectful word for a long time.

But, it's another story today.

I've noticed that lots of Japanese people have started to say that you have gotten thinner or fatter than before as an icebreaker. I have heard it so many times as if it was a greeting word. I don't mind being told that by my friends, because I am Japanese and I am used to it. However, I feel very awkward when it's directed towards my foreign friends. I feel that it's kind of bad manners.

A couple days ago, I read the article "How Language Defines Us." It says that linguistic differences affect social interaction between people of different cultures: "The Japanese appear to have no trouble approaching someone directly and matter-of-factly observing that they've become fat, while English speakers will tiptoe around the issue, use euphemisms, or avoid making the observation entirely."

According to the article, when English speakers hear this criticism, they see themselves as to blame. I am not sure why Japanese people can often say so like it's nothing. Is it because of our "let bygones be bygones" culture, in which we are less likely to assign blame or fault in many situations?

I feel that the strength coming back to women out in public in Japan lately.

As is emphasized in these Japanese words "jyoshi-kai" and "jyoshi-ryoku," women's power has attracted lots of attention. It may have been a perverse effect to many Japanese Samurai's expectations though..

"Joshi-kai" (女子会）is a Japanese word for a girls-only party in which women enjoy talking about their love and work while eating and drinking together. It was chosen as one of the top 10 trendy words in 2010, and has boomed particularly among working women.

"Joshi-ryoku" （女子力）is a word used for a woman's motivation to develop a sense of style or fashion. It can literally be translated as a woman's power, but it's likely to be used by mostly young girls to increase their allure.

I wonder what kind of characteristics make up an attractive woman?

You know what? The most attractive young women nowadays are the Japanese women's soccer players who hold the nickname of "Nadeshiko-Japan"! As you may already know, in July this year, they realized a long-cherished dream with their first FIFA World Cup victory. We all were so amazed and gave a whoop of joy!

In their games, I was hypnotized with their beauty, mental fortitude and persistence. It was so beautiful!

By the way, what do you think is the essence of feminine charm?: Beautiful looking? Fragile beauty? Inner strength? Submissive attitude?

I heard that those factors above are charms for Japanese women long time ago.

I'm so curious...
