I don’t really have a favourite band. I prefer solo artists like Ed Sheeran or Adele. They started their careers recently, Adele in 2008 and Ed Sheeran in 2011 and they became world famous shortly after.
Their music makes me feel great but I have never seen them on stage yet. I would love to though …

I love many British bands but my favourite is definitely the Rolling Stones. My mum was a huge fan so we always listened to their songs at home or in the car. Her favourite song was Miss you.
And now, I am a big fan myself. In 2015, I met Mick Jagger after a concert in California and we took a photo. I have been to many concerts. Their music makes me feel alive.

My favourite British band is definitely the Beatles. Their music makes me think of my dad because he was a huge fan of them.

He listened to the Beatles everyday when I was a child so I grew up with their songs.

I have never stopped listening to them. Their music is just amazing, it will never go out of style.

I need to make the batter for the bread I’m baking. It doesn’t matter if you come to the party or not. I’m ok either way. I got a letter in the mail. Are you feeling better? Gold and silver are types of metal. Have you been to New York City ? This flower is so pretty. That’s right, pretty, is actually pronounced with a short ‘i’ sound! We need to get a babysitter for next Saturday. The kitten is so little. It’s hotter in Miami than in Chicago. The banana was rotting in the sun for three days. My niece loves reading Harry Potter. I love putting butter on my bread. I live in the white house with the red shutters. The waiter brought over some water. See you later! Dinner tasted great. I put $2 in the parking meter. I'll see you at the movie theater. I need a lighter for these candles. Careful, that dog is a biter. My uncle is an avid boater. The raft is floating down the river. She’s commuting to work every Monday. You can’t hear the TV because it’s muted. I booted up the computer. I was putting the dishes away when I heard a knock at the door. The kids were pouting because we ran out of cake. The sailors hoisted up the sails. I’m a sensitive person.

Hi,
My name is Jonathan Porter. I’m a schoolboy in Manchester. I’m 13 and a half and I live in a flat with my mum (who is remarried), my stepfather and my half-sister, Debbie. She’s ten. We have got a cat and a hamster. I’d love to have a dog but mum says the flat is too small.
I’m not very tall and I’m quite slim. I only weigh 40 kilos. But I’m fit because I do a lot of exercise. I play football. My favourite team is Manchester United, of course! I also play basketball and I swim a lot. I like reading and drawing. In fact, I’m good at drawing comics. I love my superheroes. I’m also interested in music. I play the violin in a band.
My hair is short and blond and I’ve got blue eyes. I wear glasses and I’ve got a beauty spot on my nose.
I haven’t got a room of my own because I share my room with my sister. She’s very nice but she’s a little crazy and extremely talkative. She loves nature and animals and she’s got lots of posters of dolphins above her bed. She’s also very messy. Her shoes, books and magazines are everywhere on the floor!
My favourite colour is green because my mum is from Ireland and we always celebrate Saint Patrick’s day on March 17th.
I’m excited because it’s my birthday next week. I was born on October 15th 1997. On the one hand, I like my birthday because we always go to Ireland to have a party with my grandparents and my cousins, but on the other hand, I hate autumn. I don’t like it when the seasons are changing and summer is going away. The weather becomes cold and rainy. My sister’s very lucky because she’s a summer baby so she always has her birthday party in the garden.
It’s late now and I must do my homework. Don’t forget to write back soon.
