- Reporter: Today I am interviewing Dorothy Clarke who organizes holidays for young people near Washington. Dorothy, can you tell us about all the holiday activities?
- Dorothy: We have summer camps every year, and no doubt, young people enjoy them. They do all sorts of things: they have art classes, they draw, they paint, they create disguises, and they make masks... We’ve got a DIY group too: they learn to repair things, a bike or furniture, even computers … Some young people learn about electricity. There are lots of things to do… And at the end of the holiday, there’s a performance. Some teenagers prepare the show. A group of teenagers is responsible for the decoration: they decorate the walls; they prepare posters for the show, that sort of thing…
- Reporter: It sounds quite nice. Is there a summer camp in July?
- Dorothy: Yes, there is. And we are getting ready for it now.

Initially focused on manufacturing phone switches, Huawei has expanded its business to include building telecommunications networks, providing operational and consulting services and equipment to enterprises inside and outside of China, and manufacturing communications devices for the consumer market. Huawei has over 194,000 employees as of December 2019.
Huawei has deployed its products and services in more than 170 countries and areas. Why Do the Amish Reject Modern Technology ?
The Amish do not really embrace new technology because they see it as a threat for their family and community structure. Indeed watching TV, surfing the net, using one's phone are individual occupations whereas the Amish cherish family time, sharing quality moments with the beloved . What's more too much use of modern machines and gadgets would reduce human effort and hard work ,one of the key Amish values that has been passed down from generation to generation.

Why don't they use cars ?
The Amish don't use cars because cars would separate families and pull the community apart : when you have a car, you can go far away from your family even worse,you can live far from your family . What's more cars would encourage jealousy and competition

A: The first thing you need to do is Checking Your Foot Shape and Size by Setting a piece of paper on the floor, or another flat area. Check that your foot can fit within the parameters of the paper and place your foot in the center of the paper. Remove any socks, tights, or stockings, then place your foot on top of the paper. Make sure to check that your foot isn’t trailing off the page, and that there’s enough room to trace around the perimeter.

A: The next step is to draw outline of your foot with a pencil to create an accurate sketch. Repeat this process to measure your opposite foot. And keep in mind that when you use a pencil to trace around the perimeter, try to keeping the sketch along the edge of your foot, so the drawing can be accurate
After that, mark the longest and widest part of your feet and measure these points from the outline of your foot with a ruler. Repeat this process with both sketches to get an accurate idea of your shoe size
Then, determine your shoe size by comparing the measurement to an official list. Find your foot measurements on the chart to see which size grouping you fit into. If your feet are 2 different sizes, be sure to compare both measurements against the chart . Convert your shoe size if you plan on shopping from an international site.

A: Finally, Compare your shoe size to the provided chart on the store’s site. Find your own shoe measurements on the chart to get an idea of what shoe size would fit you best.

A: Do you know Anna, who is currently working in a pet store near my house?
B: Yes, but what happened?
A: Well, the thing is I was totally wrong about her at the first place.
B: How did you guys meet each other?
A: I met her in high school. I got to know her better through our reviews for exams together and our hangouts after class
As far as I remember at that time She was short and fat seems like a little bit overweight
She has short black hair, dark brown eyes
She always liked to wear baggy and sloppy clothes that really got my attention
B: Yeah. I can imagine what she looked like at that time. What false assumption did you make about him/her?
A: I had always assumed that she was standoffish because she often refused to blend in with everyone and quite unapproachable as she kept herself to herself by avoid chatting with everyone. Besides, She always seems to be insecure about her appearance. And she also lacked confidence in her ability to do her job. So those are the things that made me have a negative attitude to her
B: I see, I would have made the same mistake if I were you. In the end, what made you change your mind on her?
A: As I said before I’d thought that my friend was self-conscious about appearance cuz she didn’t have a healthy lifestyle but it turns out that since she got a quite serious disease before and had to be treated by taking medication. But unfortunately the treatment had a side effect that caused her to gain weight quickly. So it’s not due to her eating habits at all.
Well after some times of hanging out with my friend and having some conversation together I eventually got to know her better and in the end, I realized that she’s just introverted and sensible person who can give her friends some good advice which made her really well-liked.
Moreover, She was gregarious and kind-hearted. For exp, she always helped me with my homework after class and were always by my side to give me encouragement whenever I was in trouble
So I am very happy to have a friend like her
B: I know exactly what you mean. So the truth is that she’s not like what you think about her at first and It sounds like you had misjudged her. Well, next time, I guess that you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover.
