Hello, I’m Jay, and I come from South Korea, where 78% of the population has smartphones. The highly wired culture of my country has had a great impact on my interest in the IT field.
Last year, I had the chance to take a trip to Silicon Valley and visit the most innovative IT companies in the world, such as IDEO, Google, and Apple. I was drawn in by their intriguing developmental processes and free thinking atmosphere, and promised myself that I would one day work at one of these attractive companies in the U.S. My ultimate goal is to create new IT products that reflect customer insights. To accomplish this goal, I now hope to gain an M.S. in business analytics, so that I can learn how to gain valuable insights from data.
In university, I specialized in industrial engineering, and I’ve worked at a company for more than three years since then. Even though I have a strong background and experience with data analytics, I still feel like I lack advanced and up-to-date knowledge. I hope to gain this knowledge through communication with my classmates and professors at your school.
