English Audio Request

Note to recorder:

Adult voice and normal speed, please! It's for 8th graders from France who are studying English and we are working on a chapter about Native Americans.
Taken from "Lame Deer Seeker Of Visions"

Words, too, are symbols and convey great powers, especially names. Not Charles, Dick and George. There’s not much power in those. But Red Cloud, Whirlwind, Two Moons, —these names have a relationship to the Great Spirit.
Each Indian name has a story behind it, a vision, a quest for dreams. We receive great gifts from the source of a name; it links us to nature, to the animal nations. It gives power. You can lean on a name, get strength from it. It is a special name for you and you alone.
Each Indian name tells a story that remains hidden to outsiders unless it is explained to them. Take our famous chief Young-Man-Afraid-of-His-Horses. It sounds funny in English. Man-Afraid once led the warriors in battle, he is so brave, so feared, that his enemies ran away when merely seeing his horse, even if he was not on it. That's a powerful name!
