Good morning, this is my video presentation.
My name is Padma and I'm applying for a job this summer. So first of all let me introduce myself. I was born and bred here in Chicago, and I just love the city ! I'm 15 years-old, I'm a high school student and right now I'm in 9th grade at Lincoln Park High School, so that makes me a freshman.
In the future, I'd love to become a doctor and I would also like to travel a lot, and see the world. At school, I study Math and English, the usual, but I have also chosen to study Spanish as a second language, and I've just started French. I wouldn't say that I'm fluent, but I can carry out a conversation in Spanish, and I can read and understand a bit of French. I have never been abroad, except for a short weekend in Canada.
Concerning my personality, my friends say that I'm dynamic and fun to be with. I get along very well with people, so that would qualify me as sociable. I think I have teamwork skills too because I love working with other people. And I am not afraid of work, and I wouldn't mind working late at night or in the weekends. Also, I am serious and responsible, so you can really trust me!
About my hobbies, I love to play video games and I’m really good at tennis, I've even participated to some tournaments! About my experience: well, I'm still quite young so I don't have a lot of work experience of course. But I have already worked as a bag girl at a grocery store, for a few days, and I've also worked at my uncle's garage to help with the car washing. I've done a lot of babysitting for my cousins, and also for some neighbours.
So, right now I'm looking for a job for next summer, in or around the North Side of Chicago. I haven't decided on a particular kind of job, but I am thinking of maybe working with kids. I would be happy to be in contact with children and play all sorts of games. But I am ready to accept other types of jobs, to make some money and to learn new skills and discover new jobs.
