When and how the WTC was built ?
• The Twin towers of the World Trade Center were built from August 1968 to July 1971.
• The first tower (1WTC) was completed on december 23th december 1970.
• The second tower (2WTC) was completed on July 19th 1971
• In order to build the WTC, they erased 13 square blocks.
1993: the first terrorist attack
• On February the 26th , 1993, a Ryder Truck with 1,500 pounds of explosive detonated in the undergroung car park in 1 WTC. Levels b1 and b2 were destroyed.
• Six people were killed.
September 11th 2001
• On September 11th 2001, at 8h46am a plane crashed into north tower between the 93rd and the 99th floor. The people above 93rd couldn’t go downstairs because the plane had destroyed them.
• At 9h03am, another plane crashed into south tower between the 77th and the 85th floor. 1 stair was not destroyed.
• 2 WTC collapsed at 9h59am and 1WTC collapsed at 10h28am.
• That day, 2 753 peoples died.
• Ben Laden was the author of this terrorist attack
