Dear Suzie,
What's new? How have you been? I haven't had a letter from you for over a month. I bet you're busy with school- and your friends, of course!
I've done really well at school this year, so my parents let me spend a little more free time going out. My favourite thing to do lately is to go to the cinema. I've become a science fiction fan! I love all those stories about creatures from outer space or weird new scientific discoveries that can change people into monsters. Some of my friends think I'm getting a little strange , but I don't care! Have you seen Visitors from Mars? It's great! All those weird green aliens and spacecraft!
Apart from that, I've started taking violin lessons, but I don't think I'm making any progress. My sister puts her headphones on the minute I start to practise. Oh, well, I'll give it another year and then we'll see.
Well, I'd better go. There's a film starting in half an hour! Take care.
