Mark Elliot Zuckerberg was born on May 14, 1984 in Dobbs Ferry, New York. He grew up in a comfortable, well-educated family.
He was raised by his father, Edward Zuckerberg, who was a dentist, and by his mother, Karen, who worked as a psychiatrist before the birth of the couple's four children—Mark, Randi, Donna and Arielle.
