There are 3 modes of transport: road, air and sea.
Road transport: Goods are carried by road, highway and any other paved way thanks to a fleet composed of semi-trailers, tankers, vans, etc… Good are also carried by rail transport thanks to trains or wagons. Moreover, goods are carried by inland waterways transport thanks to barges or vessels.
Air transport: it includes passengers and freight transportation. When it comes to carrying freight by air, it is important to take into account the nature, weight, destination, origin, value or fragility of the goods. There are short, mid- and long-distance flights.
Sea transport: the majority of goods is carried by sea transport. Goods are shipped in bulk; raw material like petrol, coal or cereal is also shipped. The most common way to ship goods is by containers (20 or 40 feet).
