Please note - a few inaccuracies in text which are also in the recording:
'are not part of the United Kingdoms of the European Union'
Should be:
'are not part of the United Kingdom or the European Union'

'However it is connected to mainland Europe by the Channel Tunnel, known as the Channel.'
Should be:
'However it is connected to mainland Europe by the Channel Tunnel, known as the Chunnel.'
In effect, I never hear any British people referring to the Channel Tunnel at The Chunnel though it can be referred to by this name.
