Dear Sue
I’m your new pen friend. My name’s Brenda Taylor and I’m 13 and a student like you. I go to a Secondary School, called Kennedy School.
I’m writing from Miami where I live with my parents and two brothers, Steve and David. Steve is 16 and David is only 4. Steve attends my school and he loves playing basketball. He plays for the school team. David doesn’t go to school yet. He stays at school with a nanny and he likes playing with “Legos” and our dog, Goofey.
My parents don’t have much free time but they like gardening and going to the cinema. My father is a mechanic and my mother is a nurse.
My routine is very similar to yours. I always get up early because I love breakfast. It’s my favourite meal. I usually make pancakes and have a glass of orange juice. That’s my favourite way to start the day.
I always have lunch at school because Mum starts work at 8 o’clock every morning and she only comes back home at five. She only has one hour for lunch, so she usually eats something she takes from home: a sandwich and some fruit.
My favourite subjects are Music and Biology. I like sports and cinema but I love music! My favourite bands are Bon Jovi and Nirvana. I love animals, too. I would like to become a lawyer because I want to defend people’s rights in court.
