A gift

Today, I had my first conversation with my friend Matt after a while. It was as interesting as usual, but unfortunately we had some problems with Skype and our call was interrupted so many times that we eventually decided to go on talking next week.
Matt asked me to send him a one-word writing, so that he could reach the 500 points required to book a conversation. Here is a much longer text. I should really write more in all the languages I'm studying to attain a higher proficiency level in all of them.

Hi John,

thanks for your recording. Your voice is clear but the volume was very low. I have increased it with Audacity and now I think it's high enough for the LingQ members who will use it.
