Protected, majestic, I gracefully fly
At sixty-five kilometres per hour, through the vast blue sky.
In North American forests, you'll find my domain.
Near oceans, rivers, and lakes, my hunting terrain.
Fish, birds and small mammals are my quest
Fierce and carnivorous, I'm truly the best.
For thirty years, with a gleaming bald head
I'm a symbol, a champion in skies widespread.
My wings spread wide, measuring grand
A span of 2.3 metres, weightless in command.
But watch me dive, in a thrilling show
At 160 kilometres an hour, witness me go.
When did I, the Bald Eagle, gain fame
And become a symbol with a renowned name?
