Have you ever though about what happens with toys when people aren't around. The Toy Story movie answers that question in a really interesting way. It gives us a fantastic fun-filled story with two main characters – Woody who is the cheerful cowboy, and Buzz Lightyear, the fearless space ranger. Woody is a toy of Andy and all the rest of Andy's toys live happily in his room until Andy's birthday brings Buzz Lightyear to the film. Afraid of losing Andy's love, Woody decides to struggle against Buzz.
But when circumstances separate Buzz and Woody from their owner, these two eventually decide to come over their differences, as the only way to survive is to keep together.
I think a lot of us have seen this movie, but I am not sure all you know its history.
So, actually Toy Story is a 1995 American computer-animated comedian adventure film produced by Pixar Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures. Directed by John Lasseter, Toy Story was the first full-length computer-animated film.
John Lasseter was more than just a director of the film, he was it's creator. He started his carrier as an animator in Walt Deasney Feature Animation in 1979 but he left it and joined team of Lucasfilm graphical company group. In 1986 Lucasfilm was bought by Steve Jobs and renamed to Pixar. Lasseter very quickly found common language with Steve thank to their love to graphical design. Steve Jobs invested a lot in Pixar and first of all in Lasseter's films. It help him to create own full-length animated movie.
The movie has great success. Story turned from a $10 million investment into a $100 million profit. The film looked nice and innovative that people can't believe their eyes. It felt like...you could reach into the screen and take the toy off and play with it. It was incredible.
Film won lots of award and became the film of the year.
I think this film is a masterpiece and it has influenced a film industry a lot, because it was the first films which was able to combined a real world with fantasy so plausible with help of technology. And and as we see today it was a right way.
