Exciting: Most exciting was being able to monitor Twitter’s trending topics segmented by geographic region. This feature allowed me to seek out conversations among users I never even knew existed that were happening real-time in another hemisphere. I was enticed by the thrills of interconnectivity, my heart leaping when TweetDeck would update simultaneously. I am so curious if each chiclet was designed by a separate user or if there is one person who has become master chiclet-san. I liked that I could personalizing the background of my Twitter page to convey a message, but was surprised there was not more advanced functionality allowing users to categorize followers. On a whim, I even enabled geotagging so third-parties could annotate my tweets with location information despite the fact that I do all of my tweeting from my laptop and not a mobile device – a girl’s got to dream!
