Challenging: Firstly, making sure I hit every channel consistently. There were times when I had a great idea for a blog post, but my laptop couldn’t connect to wireless or I was somewhere without a computer. Mobile devices have augmented revenue models and made proprietary the exact way the consumer obtains value. Avoiding redundancy amongst the data, knowledge, and information I broadcasted was complicated.
Next, I was concerned I wasn’t engaging enough one-on-one on channels other than Facebook. I tried to mention users who had influenced my tweet with @. I participated in trending topics with #, but I noticed less of the essence of myself in these posts than I did ones with @. For Linked in, I scoured the textbook for classmates that I was certain I’d spoken to more than once. The application’s spirit of professionalism seemed to discourage connecting with people I didn’t actually know. The bigger difficulty was persuading connections to endorse me for a recommendation. Most seemed to perceive the writing requirement as too time consuming, others don’t understand the proper protocol.
Finally, deciding what to write on my blog and how to promote it were the areas where I felt most lost. I don’t understand how to use the advanced functionality that facilitates the value exchange. I’m new to the blogosphere, making me unsure how best to plug it elsewhere without violating established rules of engagement.
