Katniss Everdeen returns home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. She now lives in the Victors' village.
Katniss and Peeta now embark on a “Victor’s Tour” of the districts.
On their tour, Katniss feels that a rebellion is starting. Every revolution starts with a spark and Katniss could give her people the opportunity to stand up against President Snow's oppressive government. They see Katniss as a symbol for freedom against tyranny. But the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games, a special competition with all the former victors. And President Snow wants revenge and he wants to eradicate all the victors to crush the rebellion. How many contestants will be killed? Will anyone return home?
