어제 늦은 밤에 남편이 북경에서 돌아 왔다.
남편이 공항 버스를 타고 오겠다고 해서, 나는 공항까지 갈 필요는 없고, 단지 버스정류장까지만 마중을 나가면 되었다.
그래서 막 나갈 준비를 하려는데 베티가 눈을 감은 채 꼼짝 않고 집안에 누워 있는 것을 보았다.
어디가 아픈가? 순간 갑자기 이상한 느낌이 들어 베티를 불러 보았으나 여전히 들은 척도 안했다. 머리를 쓰다듬어 봐도, 이름을 불러봐도 여전히 눈을 꼭 감고만 있었다.
‘베티가 눈을 뜨지 않아? ‘
쓰다듬어 줄 때 눈을 뜨지 않은 경우는 베티와 함께 산 10년 7개월 동안 오늘이 처음이다.

남편을 만난 뒤 우리는 서둘러 동물 병원에 들렀다.
(*이 병원에서 베티가 7년7개월 전에 이 병원에서 짱아(베티 아들)를 낳았었다. )

아………………어떻게 해야지? 만약 베티 눈에 문제가 있으면 어떡하지?
그러데 왜?왜? 갑자기? 정말 이해 할 수 없었다!
어제 아침 외출 시에만 해도 베티에게서 이상한 점이 전혀 보이지 않았었다.
의사 말로는 베티의 수정체가 완전히 수축 되어 있는데, 이런 경우는 정말 드문 경우라고 했다.
의사는 베티의 목덜미에 동공 확장 주사를 놓아 주고 내일 다시 와 보리고 했다.

가엾은 베티! 베티가 곧 낫기만을 바랄 뿐이다. 베티도 이제 나이를 먹으니,
노년기를 부디 편안하게 보내기만을 간절히 간절히 바랄 뿐이다.
내일 저녁에 또 병원에 가봐야 한다.

 Late last night my husband returned from Beijing.
 He said he will take an(the) airport-bus to come home, so I didn`t need go out to the airport to pick him up, I just needed to drive to the bus stop.
 But as I was preparing to pick him up, I found Betty lying still with her eyes closed in her house.
 Suddenly I felt something strange, and she looked ill.
 I called her, but she didn`t move a muscle.
 I touched her head but she didn`t open her eyes.
 It was the first time at her life that she has ever don`t opening her eyes.

 After meeting my husband, we stopped at an animal hospital.
 Betty was bore "Zzang-A" at that hospital 7 years and 7 months ago.

 What can I do? Betty`s eyes ~~? Why? Really strange???
 This morning when I went out I didn`t find any sort of problem with her.
 Emmmm.....The doctor said her crystalline lens has shrunk, and that it`s a very rare situation.
 The doctor gave Betty an injection with grain tailings,
 I pray she will get better soon,,,,
 She is old now, so I hope her old age passes easily!
 I have to go to the hospital now with Betty.

I'm so glad to hear that Betty is doing ok! I changed this sentence a bit in the recording. Remember, this is in the past so we have to use "would."

Maybe you can show us some pictures of Betty. I love dogs. :)
