I have to give this text tomorrow morning!!!someone can read it,please??
The text relies on the analysis and the figures of the NHS (the National Health Serrvice in England) published in the Observer magazine. The figures show the rise of hospitalization linked to alcohol abuse between 2001 and 2006.The excessive alcohol consumption concerns the whole of England. According to this text, every region is effected. .Alcohol also causes accidents, assaults and poisoning. What's more, the article demonstrates the difference between men and women. More men are admitted in hospital emergency facilities for problems linked to alcohol but the rise of admission is a little higher with 28.9 per 100 000 for women and 27.4 for men .Thanks to the NHS data, we know that 353,000 people were admitted because of drink related incidents. Although, the whole country is effected by this problem, the figures reveal a contrast between the North and the South. The rate of emergency cases is very high in the North while the figures in the South are lower. The most effected area of england is precisely the north-east with 1232 per 100 000 cases of admission for men and 685 per 100 000 for women, that is 15 7,000 men and 8 8,000 women. The least effected area is the east with 743, 000 men and 425 women per 100 000. The cities with the higher rate of emergency cases are in the south. For instance, Liverpool, Manchester and Middlesbrough contrary to the South where there are the fewest emergency cases in Wokingham and Lewishman.
The professor In Gilmore denounces the binge drinking. He also raises the problem of the increase of admissions cases for children. According to Ian Gilmore, England has a serious problem with alcohol. He proposes two solutions: firstly, to raise the price of alcohol and secondly, restrain the accessibility of alcohol.
