Imagine your day. You wake up groggy and dreading the day ahead. Then powerwalk to class because you're late from hitting the snooze button. In your haste you bump into a fellow classmate, spilling your books while you stand there watching your midterm paper fly away in the wind. Stress starts to fill you. Next you head to your part time job where you're boss thinks this is the only thing on your schedule. You come back home full of stress from all the extra homework your teachers gave you. Then order pizza for dinner, a seemingly peaceful task, which comes to late and has anchovies on it you didn't order. That's the last straw. You take it out on the pizza boy by slugging him in the face. He presses charges, which gives you more stress. Stress dominates your day.

How do you remedy all this stress? Drugs?! Suicide!? Assaulting the pizza boy overtime he comes late? There is a much easier and much more rewarding cure. Weightlifting is one of, if not the best methods of relieving stress accumulated throughout the day. It allows you to blow off some steam without risking injury to yourself or others, while improving your overall health. Although most people reserve weightlifting for huge, steroid doused bodybuilders and football players, it can be and is a hobby of people of all ages, races, and physical condition. It is the number one exercise for burning fat, obviously it is the best way for building muscle, it lessens the risk of injury by strengthening tendons and bones, in addition it improves your overall health by raising your metabolism and improving your circulation. But one of the best benefits is not the physical but the mental benefits you get from weightlifting.
