Hello there. The text is from an ESL textbook, as part of the UK English Programme series, which was not written by English-speaking writers, so I think there remain several phrases which sound not natural to you. If so, please feel free to change them.
My students are in their 4th grade. Could you help me make two separate recordings for the text – one at your normal/natural speed, and the other at your slow speed?
I think the recording with your normal speed will be useful to their listening practice since it will be challenging enough, and hopefully they will not be bored! Meanwhile, the recording with your slow one will help them differentiate different sounds, and thereby enable them to copy your pronunciation easily.
Thank you in advance!
Yesterday, I went to the swimming pool in the morning. Then, I went to the supermarket by bus. I bought a CD and a new toothbrush. I had lunch in the café. I ate spaghetti and drank soda. In the afternoon, I went to the cinema with my sister. I saw a good film.
Hi Ms. nomadicvegan. I have used your recordings with my four Grade 4 classes whose total size is over 150 students. Most students have shown their excitement at listening to your recordings. You have a very clear, nice voice, which is of great help to them. I am so glad and grateful for your help! :)
