Hello. This text is not written by English-speaking writers, so I think there remain several phrases which sound not natural to you. If so, please help me change them.
My students are 10 years old, so could you please help me make two separate recordings - one at your normal/natural speed, and the other at your slow speed?
The reason is that the recording with your normal speed will be useful to their listening exercise since it will be quite challenging, and hopefully they will not be bored! Meanwhile, the recording with your slow one will help them hear the sounds carefully, and thus enable them to imitate your pronunciation easily.
There are three versions of the text. The third one is original from the textbook while the first and third versions are mine.
I aim to teach the students both the full and shortened forms of "It is", "I am" and "I will".
I'm not sure if you would normally shorten "Daddy will" into "Daddy'll" while speaking, or not. If you do, please change "Daddy will be glad." into "Daddy'll be glad." in the second version.
Thank you!
It is my dad’s birthday tomorrow. I will make a birthday card for him. I am good at drawing. So, I will draw a picture of my family on the card. Daddy will be glad.
