Note to recorder:

Hello. This text is not written by English-speaking writers, so I guess there remain some phrases which sound not natural to you. If so, please help me change them.

My 10-year-old students are in their 4th grade, so could you please help me make two separate recordings for the reading text - one at your normal/natural speed, and the other at your slow speed - and a recording for the question-and-answer section? I am not sure of the 5th question, please help me choose one. For the remaining questions, if you find them not natural, feel free to change them.

I love jogging. It’s a hot day, so I am wearing a cap. Look at Pat. He’s taking a nap. I stop jogging now and drink some water.

+ Who loves jogging? ~ Bob loves jogging.
+ Is it a sunny day? ~ Yes, it is.
+ Is it a rainy day? ~ No, it isn’t.
+ What is Bob wearing? Why? ~ He is wearing a cap because it is a hot day. / He’s wearing a cap because it’s a hot day.

+ Who does Bob look at? ~ He looks at Pat.
// Who is Bob looking at? ~ He is looking at Pat. / He’s looking at Pat.

(NOTE: For this question, please help me choose one. I am not sure of whether the question would be in the present simple tense, or the present continuous tense.)

+ What is Pat doing? ~ He is taking a nap. / He’s taking a nap.
+ What does Bob do after jogging? ~ He drinks some water.

Hi VickiS. Thanks so much for your help! I wanted to know whether my final question sounded unnatural to you. If so, I hope you would not mind suggesting one question related to the sentence. [I stop jogging now and drink some water.] My aim is to check the students' understanding.

It did not sound unnatural but the other question choice was a similar style to the previous questions.
Because "I stop jogging now and drink some water" is part of the same sentence, it's as if it's happening at the same time. For that sentence, you could change it to "I stop jogging then drink some water." or "I stop jogging. Then I drink some water." Your question would fit very well. "What does Bob do after jogging?" ~He drinks some water.
Looking over the text, how do your students know that "I" refers to "Bob"? If they were not told his name is Bob, you could add to the beginning "My name is Bob and I love jogging."

Dear Vicki. I knew there is something wrong with the last sentence, and I was unable to make it better. Thanks so much for your useful suggestions! I just posted a new request which adapts to yours. :)
