A healthy lifestyle is getting more and more popular nowadays for a variety
of reasons. The world’s poor ecological situation makes people realise the
importance of keeping fit. People go jogging in parks, lift weights at gyms, do
yoga and go on different diets to live longer and healthier. Another reason for
this obsession with fitness is the fact that we live in the social media era. People
are getting dependent on social networks where they constantly post their
photos with beautiful muscular bodies or a new healthy diet to attract more
followers.
I do sports on a regular basis. It develops my willpower and helps me to be
in good shape. My passion for tennis began in the early childhood. I have been
playing it at least twice a week since then. It helps me to chill out after a
stressful day at school and relieve stress. I also try to stick to a balanced diet
and avoid consuming sweets, junk food and fizzy drinks.
There is a wide range of sports activities for teenagers in our region. Our
city has a large number of tennis and basketball courts, athletics tracks, football
pitches and ice rinks. Thanks to these sports facilities, a lot of adolescents have
an opportunity to go in for sports. Most of my friends are into hockey.
To sum up, keeping fit and leading a healthy lifestyle have a positive effect
on our physical and mental well-being.
