Please, speak slowly and clearly.
Interviewer: Hello, Maja. Nice to meet you. Thanks for coming. We're really happy to have you here. How about doing an interview for the school magazine?
Maja: Good morning. Nice to meet you too. Thank you for inviting me.
Interviewer: So, tell us, Maja, how old are you and where are you from?
Maja: I'm eleven and I come from Slovenia. It's a small country in Europe.
Interviewer: And where exactly is Slovenia?
Maja: Slovenia is in Central Europe. There are four neighbouring countries: Croatia, Hungary, Austria and Italy. It's only about one hour and 45 minutes away by plane.
Interviewer: Right. Have you got any brothers or sisters?
Maja: Yes, I have. I've got a brother. His name's Matej and he's seven. And I've got a sister. She's only three years old. Her name is Mojca. Look. Here's a picture of my family.
Interviewer: Can you tell us about your family?
Maja: Yes, of course. I really love my younger siblings. Matej likes animals. He misses his dog Tor from Slovenia. Mojca likes playing with Lego bricks and I like playing volleyball because I'm good at it.
Interviewer: Can Matej play any sports?
Maja: Yes, he can. He can play football very well. He would like to join the school football team.
Interviewer: Have you got any pets here in England?
Maja: No, we haven't. Here in England we live in a block of flats and the flat is small but in Slovenia we have got a dog and two cats, Miki and Mini. We've got a big house in a village.
Interviewer: Ok, Maja, thank you for the interview and goodbye.
Maja: Bye.
I don't really know how to pronounce these names. Sorry.
