Devon : Good afternoon Ms Chase, I saw your ad at the supermarket for a dog walker. Are you still looking for someone?
Ms Chase : Oh yes! Yes I am! I’m looking for someone to walk my little Custer, it’s a poodle.
Devon : Brilliant! My name is Devon, I am 15 years old and I just love animals.
Ms Chase : Oh really? Do you have any work experience? Have you worked as a dog walker before?
Devon : Yes I have! I have already taken care of my neighbours’ dogs Sam and Ginger. I’m good at playing with dogs at the park and I know how to feed them after the walk.
Ms Chase : And could you tell me more about your personality? I hope that you’re athletic!
Devon : Don’t worry, I’m extremely fit! I’m punctual too and people say I’m kind and responsible.
Ms Chase : Great! When would you be available?
Devon : Well… the best would be on Sundays and every Wednesday afternoon after school.
Ms Chase : Could you also work in the evenings?
Devon : Yes, definitely. But I couldn’t make it on Monday evenings because I play basketball in a club.
Ms Chase : Sounds perfect! Just one more thing: I usually pay $7 an hour… does it sound okay to you?
Devon : Yeah, yeah, that’s fine!
Ms Chase : I’d be happy to meet you in person. Would you like to come over and meet my little Custer?
Devon : Sure, I would love that!
