The Natural History Museum is an attraction that’s high on every visitor’s list of ‘must see’ places. It’s worth a visit just to see the building itself – a masterpiece of Gothic revival architecture.
But it’s also a museum that could change how you think about science forever. There are exhibits which you will never forget like the life-size model of a blue whale or the 32-metre-long dinosaur skeleton. The dinosaur collection is the place where most people start, but don’t miss the wonderful Rainforest by Night exhibition or the Darwin Centre.
The museum can get very crowded. Weekends and school holidays are the times when most visitors go, so try to go in the week if you can.
