Today I am thinking about whether the benefits of hosting international sporting events outweigh the disadvantages or not. I strongly believe benefits do not outweigh the disadvantages. The first is the security reason. When a country holds a large international sporting events like the Olympics, threatening of terrorist attacks becomes bigger. Moreover, setting up the event is too costly and often the host country could be suffered from the debt in the future. Lastly, during the event many foreign people come to the host country resulting in much pollution especially in the area they stay.
