I am a student, at the Technical University of Liberec Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.
My expertise has been in the field of Engineering Metallurgy, and I am now studying Machining for a PhD.
I am interested in this position, because I am familiar with this class of technology. I have a lot of working experience from my Master study programme. The thesis for my master study programme was: “Influence of the parameters of form filling on the quality of the plumbaginous iron casts”. The primary parts of my thesis were concerned with processes-monitoring, in the workshops, and suggesting manufacturing improvements for the processes, so as to decrease the number of rejected casts and thereby increase productivity.
My doctoral thesis is: ”Influence of the tool and cutting conditions in machining on the workpiece use properties”. My subject of the theses is the surface integrity in machining and consequent assessment of the fatigue limit of the material when cyclically loaded, and determination of the Wohler curve for the examined material.
I was working as a researcher at Aalto University, Finland, where I was a co-worker on a project called 'Low friction in hydraulics'. I am also conducting fatigue tests at the laboratories, for example: roughness and hardness tests.
I enjoy the challenge of getting to know processes, procedures and the details of manufacturing. During the first year of my doctoral studies, I studied subjects, such as: 'Theory of Machining and Surface Integrity', so as to gain practical knowledge in the workshop.
I use technical English in communication and writing. I am willing to learn in advance of the placement. I think my knowledge and skills will be useful for your company.
My future plans are: Acquiring more practical knowledge in my field; learning about new methods of manufacturing, and I would like to be part of a working team. I am sure, that the job is the best, next step, to my future.
My principle hobbies are: Sports and travelling. I also enjoy cycling, skiing and ice-hockey. I enjoy teamwork. So the opportunity to participate this position is one that would be very welcome.
Just want to note that I made a slight change to the last sentence. In English we wouldn't say "participate this position" but instead would say "fill this position" or "take this position".
In English, a position is not something that one participates in but is something they take or fill when in relation to a position at a company. Hope this helps.
