I wanted to go abroad on an internship last summer. I chose an industrial company named Miilukangas KY in Raahe, because I wanted to learn more about the working culture in a foreign company as well as working procedures. I chose a company in the field of manufacturing. I have been studying machining and assembly. It was the best opportunity to learn new practical knowledge in my field! I also know that Finland is a very extraordinary country, full of beautiful things in nature, such as many lakes and forests.
I spent the first month in Miilux KY. I worked in sales, production, and shipping. I looked for potentially new customers in the Czech Republic and other countries via the internet. I created a database of new customers. During my work in production I learnt the facets of manufacturing. It was very meaningful for me to understand how the process worked. The second month, I worked in Miilukangas KY. I worked in machinery, 3D measurement, assembly, tools maintenance, and welding. I was really excited about that, because I am in engineering.
I learned a lot during my staying in Miilukangas. It was such a great opportunity, because I got to work at each of the departments in the company where I interned.
I'm glad I chose a good company for my internship. The people there were very friendly and helpful. I had a lot of good experiences there.
