Presentation in English
- Hi, nice to meet you, how are you?
- I’m great! Nice to meet you, too!
- What’s your name?
- My name is Florence.
- How old are you?
- I am 44 years old.
- Where are you from?
- I come from France and I live in Les Ulis, it’s south of Paris.
- How long have you been learning English?
- I resumed my learning English more seriously a year ago. I had English lessons throughout my schooling but I was very bad and I didn’t understand much. It’s a shame because I like this language is very much.
Over the years I have tried to learn this language with various means including apps like Duolingo, Memrise, but unfortunately never for very long; I ended up giving up for lack of results and motivation.
Today, it's been a year since I really tried to take my English learning seriously; I have learned a lot on the Internet on YouTube, about the best way to learn a language. I’ve also learned a lot of very interesting things that have motivated me a lot.
I have been using the lingq method for a year; this method has helped me a lot to improve my Listening and reading comprehension. I am also taking courses on MOSALINGUA where I have worked on my oral comprehension with their Mosaseries course and for 1 month; "Speak with confidence".
My goal now is to improve my Pronunciation and spoken English for to express myself orally because I understand spoken language much better but to express myself; I can't find the words and I don't know where to start.
- Why are you learning English?
- I would like to be able to talk about myself, my family about what I do for a living, my hobbies but also I would like to be able to be comfortable in order to meet people. I would like to be able to travel to an English speaking country like Great Britain or the USA without being stressed because I cannot express myself in English.
Actually , I am unable to express myself in english spontaneously, I am forced to use google translate in order to prepare what I am going to say.
Thank you very much.
