Yes, of course it is possible. How do you think people learned English before SuperMemo existed? :)

I think I understand what you mean by "too busy to spend time in front of a computer". When you are reading an interesting article or listening to an interesting podcast, you are not only learning English -- you are doing something fun at the same time. So, in a way, you are not really "spending time on English".

With SuperMemo, you are just learning English; there are no other benefits -- unless you are one of those who simply like making and reviewing items in SuperMemo. I am one of those people. Expanding a SuperMemo collection gives me the feeling of "growing something" (my collection and my own "language power"). When I review items, I feel less good, but I also enjoy it to some degree -- partially because it is challenging.

I am in fact thinking about a new article about how to use SuperMemo and what it is good for. I'll share just a few thoughts right now:

1.You can learn through input alone.
2.SM lets you make steady progress without massive input. For example, if you are a beginner and cannot get massive input because you suck at comprehension. Or, you don't have time for lots of input, but want to make some progress anyway.
3.For someone who has enough comprehension and enough interests to get a lot of fun input in English, the usefulness of SM is limited. Here are the main uses:

•eliminating your mistakes by adding corrected sentences to SM (which ensures their repetition)
•adding useful things that you just keep forgetting (e.g. words that just don't stick in your memory)
•adding useful phrases that don't occur in your input, or occur rarely (e.g. handy spoken expressions that you won't find in podcasts, books, websites, or whatever input you get)
•adding pronunciations for words that don't occur in your spoken input frequently enough

4.Adding words/phrases/structures that occur in your input frequently (say, more than once in 1-2 months) is a waste of time because you are reviewing them anyway as you get input. You don't need artificial reviews for these.

In short, I believe SuperMemo is always useful, but it is less useful for people who can get massive input. However, if you use SM according to the four bullet points above, it shouldn't take too much of your time because you will only be adding selected information instead of adding every sentence from every text you read.

1) Spend the time!

By far the most important factor is how much time you are immersed in the language. The more time you spend with the language, the faster you will learn. This means listening, reading, writing, speaking, and studying words and phrases. This does not mean sitting in class looking out the window, nor listening to other students who do not speak well, nor getting explanations in your own language about how the language works. This means spending time enjoyably connected to the language you are learning.

2) Listen and read every day!

Listen wherever you are on your MP3 player. Read what you are listening to. Listen to and read things that you like, things that you can mostly understand, or even partly understand. If you keep listening and reading you will get used to the language. One hour of listening or reading is more effective than many hours of class time.

3) Focus on words and phrases!

Build up your vocabulary, you’ll need lots. Start to notice words and how they come together as phrases. Learn these words and phrases through your listening and reading. Read online, using online dictionaries, and make your own vocabulary lists for review. Soon you will run into your new words and phrases elsewhere. Gradually you will be able to use them. Do not worry about how accurately you speak until you have accumulated a plenty of words through listening and reading.

4) Take responsibility for your own learning!

If you do not want to learn the language, you won’t. If you do want to learn the language, take control. Choose content of interest, that you want to listen to and read. Seek out the words and phrases that you need to understand your listening and reading. Do not wait for someone else to show you the language, nor to tell you what to do. Discover the language by yourself, like a child growing up. Talk when you feel like it. Write when you feel like it. A teacher cannot teach you to become fluent, but you can learn to become fluent if you want to.

5) Relax and enjoy yourself!

Do not worry about what you cannot remember, or cannot yet understand, or cannot yet say. It does not matter. You are learning and improving. The language will gradually become clearer in your brain, but this will happen on a schedule that you cannot control. So sit back and enjoy. Just make sure you spend enough time with the language. That is the greatest guarantee of success.

In The Little Prince, Saint-Exupéry talks about being marooned in the desert in a damaged aircraft. Without doubt, this account was drawn from his own experience in the Sahara. He also writes about this ordeal, in detail, in his book Wind, Sand and Stars.
On December 30, 1935 at 14:45, after an 18 hour and 36 minute flight, Saint-Exupéry, along with his navigator André Prévot, crashed in the Libyan Sahara desert en route to Saigon.
They were attempting to fly from Paris to Saigon faster than anyone before them had for a prize of 150,000 francs.
Their plane was a Caudron C-600 Simoun n° 7042 (serial F-ANRY). Supposedly, the crash site is located in the Wadi Natrum.
Both of them had survived the crash, but they were then faced with rapid dehydration in the Sahara.
Their maps were primitive and ambiguous. Lost in the desert with a few grapes, a single orange, and some wine, the duo had only one day's worth of liquids.
After that day, they had nothing. Both men began to see mirages, which were quickly followed by more vivid hallucinations.
Sometime between the second and the third day, the two were so dehydrated that they stopped sweating altogether.
Finally, on the fourth day, a Bedouin on a camel discovered them and administered native dehydration treatment that saved Saint-Exupéry and Prévot's lives.

In the desert, Saint-Exupéry had met a fennec (desert sand fox), which had most likely inspired him to create the fox character in the book.
In a 1918 letter that he had written to his sister Didi from Cape Juby, he tells her about raising a fennec that he adored.

Patachou, Petit Garçon, by Tristan Derème, is another probable influence for The Little Prince.

Antoine may have drawn inspiration for the Little Prince's appearance from himself as a youth. Friends and family would call him "le Roi-Soleil" ("Sun King"), due to his golden curly hair.

The Little Prince's reassurance to the Pilot that his dying body is only an empty shell resembles the words of Antoine's younger brother François's last words: "Don't worry. I'm all right. I can't help it. It's my body" (Airman's Odyssey).

Chapter 16 begins: "So then the seventh planet was the Earth".
On the Earth, he starts out in the desert and meets a snake that claims to have the power to return him to his home planet (A clever way to say that he can kill people,thus "Sending anyone he wishes back to the land from whence he came.")

The Prince meets a desert-flower and climbs a mountain.
The Prince sees a whole row of rosebushes, and is downcast because he thought that his was the only one in the whole universe.

Chapter 21 is the author's statement about human love in that the Prince then meets and tames a fox, who explains to the Prince that his rose is unique and special, because she is the one that he loves.
The Prince then meets a railway switchman and a merchant who are as non-self-aware and non-philosophical as the other adults encountered earlier.

In Chapter 24, the narrator's point of view changes again from third person to first person, as the narrator is dying of thirst, but then they find a well.
After some thought, the Prince bids an emotional farewell to the narrator, explaining to him that while it will look as though he has died, he has not, but rather that his body is too heavy to take with him to his planet.
He tells the narrator that it was wrong of the narrator to come and watch, as it will make him sad. The Prince then allows the snake to bite him.
The next morning when the narrator looks for the Prince, he finds his body has disappeared.

The story ends with a portrait of the landscape where the meeting of the Prince and the narrator took place and where the snake took the Prince's life.

The narrator also makes a plea that anyone encountering a strange child in that area who refuses to answer questions to contact the narrator immediately.

The Little Prince is represented as having been on Earth for one year, and the narrator ends the story seven years after he is rescued from the desert.

Interleaved in the first nine chapters the narration's point of view changes from third person to first person. In the first eight days of the narrator being stranded in the desert, the Prince has been telling these stories to the narrator.

The Prince asks the narrator to draw a sheep. Not knowing how to draw a sheep, the narrator draws what he knows, a boa with an elephant in its stomach, a drawing which previous viewers mistook for a hat. "No! No!", exclaims the Prince. "I don't want a boa with an elephant inside! I want a sheep...".
He tries a few sheep drawings, which the Prince rejects. Finally he draws a box, which he explains has the sheep inside.
The Prince, who can see the sheep inside the box just as well as he can see the elephant in the boa, says "That's perfect".

The home asteroid of the Little Prince is introduced.
He inhabits a house-sized planet, B612, which has three volcanoes (two active, and one dormant) and a rose. He spends his days caring for his asteroid, pulling out the baobab trees that are constantly trying to take root there.
The trees will make his little planet turn to dust if they are not pulled out. The prince falls in love with the rose, but when he sees that she does not feel the same way he leaves to see what the rest of the universe is like, and visits six other asteroids (numbered from 325 to 330) each of which is inhabited by an adult who is foolish in his own way:

☞The King who can "control" the stars by ordering them to do what they would anyway. He then relates this to human subjects; it is the citizen's duty to obey, but only if the king's demands are reasonable. He orders the Prince to leave as his ambassador.
☞The Conceited Man who wants to be admired by everyone, but lives alone on his planet. He cannot hear anything that is not a compliment.
☞The Drunkard/Tippler who drinks to forget that he is ashamed of drinking.
☞The Businessman who is constantly busy counting the stars he thinks he owns. He wishes to use them to buy more stars. The Prince then goes on to define property. The Prince owns the flower and volcanoes on his planet because he cares for them and they care for him. Because one cannot maintain the stars, he argues, the Businessman cannot own them.
☞The Lamplighter who lives on an asteroid which rotates once a minute. Long ago, he was charged with the task of lighting the lamp at night and extinguishing it in the morning. At that point, the asteroid revolved at a reasonable rate, and he had time to rest. As time went on, the rotation sped up. Refusing to turn his back on his work, he now lights and extinguishes the lamp once a minute, getting no rest. The Prince actually empathizes with the Lamplighter, who is the only adult to care about something other than himself.
☞The Geographer who spends all of his time making maps, but never leaves his desk to explore (even his own planet), going on the pretext that it is the job of an explorer to do so. Even if an explorer were to visit the Geographer, the Geographer is very doubting of any explorer's character and would most likely disregard the report. He doesn't trust things he hasn't seen with his own eyes, yet will not leave his desk. Out of professional interest, the geographer asks the Prince to describe his asteroid. The Prince describes the volcanoes and the rose. "We don't record flowers", says the geographer, because they are only ephemeral. The Prince is shocked and hurt to learn that his flower will someday be gone. The geographer then recommends that he visit the Earth.

Ostensibly a children's book, it makes several profound and idealistic points about life and human nature. In it, Saint Exupéry tells of his being stranded in the Sahara Desert, thousands of kilometers away from inhabited places, where he meets a young extraterrestrial (though entirely human-appearing) prince. In their conversations, the author reveals his own views about the follies of mankind and the simple truths that people seem to forget as they grow older.
The essence of the book is contained in the famous line uttered by the fox to the Little Prince: "On ne voit bien qu'avec le cœur, l'essentiel est invisible pour les yeux." (It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye).

There are also two other main points in the book, both spoken by the fox.
They are: "You become responsible, forever, for what you have tamed" and "It is the time you have spent with your rose that makes your rose so important."

Throughout the book, a child's view of the world, of the purpose of human life and of relations between people, (as represented by the Little Prince and partially by the narrator), is set off against the grown-ups' view (as revealed in memories of the narrator and in characters that the Little Prince meets on asteroids).
But the author underscores that the "'grown-ups' are like that.
One must not hold it against them. Children should always show great forbearance toward grown-up people

The Little Prince (French: Le Petit Prince), published in 1943, is French aviator Antoine de Saint Exupéry's most famous novella, which he wrote in the United States while renting The Bevin House in Asharoken, New York, on Long Island. Walden Pond is a 102-foot (31 m) deep pond, 61 acres in area and 1.7 miles (2.7 km) around, located in Concord, Massachusetts, in the United States.
A famous example of a kettlehole, it was formed by retreating glaciers(빙하 ) 10,000 - 12,000 years ago.
The writer, transcendentalist, and philosopher Henry David Thoreau lived on the shores of the pond for two years starting in the summer of 1845.
His account of the experience was recorded in Walden; or, Life in the Woods, and made the spot famous. Concord Museum contains the bed, chair, and desk from Thoreau's cabin.
Boston's "Ice King", Frederic Tudor, harvested ice yearly on Walden Pond for export to the Caribbean, Europe, and India.
In his journal, Thoreau philosophized upon the wintry sight of Tudor's ice harvesters: "The sweltering inhabitants of Charleston and New Orleans, of Madras and Bombay and Calcutta, drink at my well ... The pure Walden water is mingled with the sacred(신성한, 성스러운) water of the Ganges."
Now managed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Walden Pond State Reservation is a popular swimming destination in the summer.
In the spring and fall, many people hike the trails that ring the pond and visit the site of Thoreau's one-room cabin. In the summer, especially on hot sunny weekends, admission to the park is often shut down for hours at a time to prevent the habitat from being overstressed. Tourists to the Concord area should plan their visits accordingly, scheduling stops at Walden either for early in the morning or for late in the evening.
In 1990, Eagles member and solo artist Don Henley initiated The Walden Woods Project to prevent the area around Walden Pond from being developed.

Comic Books, Newspapers, to Novels

Part I: Reading
I really enjoy reading in my free, but my mood often determines what I read.
I enjoy comic books; it usually is light reading, and the stories aren't very long, but some comics really reflect daily life in my culture. I also like to skim the newspaper every day to find out what's happening in the world. This keeps me up to date on current local and international events. Because I don't have much time to read, I generally skip over the editorial section of the newspaper and read the business and sports sections. Every once in a while, I take the time to read a good novel if time permits. Overall, reading helps me not only stay in touch with the world but it also gives me a chance to relax.

Part II: Discussion
What types of materials do you enjoy reading for pleasure? Do you enjoy reading in English? Why or why not? What things can you do to improve your reading skills?

Part III: Online Investigation
The Internet now contains a very large collection of materials to choose from for reading, including classic novels and newspapers. Search online for a newspaper from your country that is in English. Find a current event story happening in your country, summarize the content, and discuss the topic in a group.

Look back! -
I think I should be more dilligent.
These recent days ,no these recent years I have become lazy/ have gotten lazy.
I feel I should make a fresh start . as looks like young firend .
Think about 1 day ,1 week ,1 year, and then my plans/things/thought put into a action.
Everyone knows that our time is composed of the past-time, the present -time,and the future-time ,
the most important time is the present-time that I can act, in my guessing.
If I don`t act today tomorrow will not become true easily.
Many 'today s' add up to become 'tomorrow'.

좀 더 부지런해져야겠다.
요즘, 아니 몇년간 너무 나태해졌다.
다시 새로 시작하는 마음으로 하루를 ,1주일을 ,1달을 , 1년을 정리 해 보고 지내야겠슴을 느낀다.
우리의 시간을 과거-현재-미래를 구분하지만,
현재 내가 할 수 있는 현재가 가장 중요한 듯 하다.
