그건 그렇고, 이 비디오 뉴스에 의하면, 어떤 사람이 ‘ 'RFID'라고 불리는 것을 값싸게($100쯤) 사서 노트북에 장치를 하면, 길가는 행인의 신용카드의 정보를 손쉽게 읽을 수 있다고 합니다. 이 노트북을 길가는 행인의 주머니에 살짝 스치기만 하면, 행인의 카드 정보를 바로 읽을 수 있다니, 정말 섬찟한 일입니다. 그러니, 앞으로 여러분은 신용 카드를 바깥쪽 주머니에 함부로 넣지 마세요. 그런데 이런 것을 ‘전자 소매치기’라고 불러야겠지요?
사실, 이런 비슷한 일은 제 친구에게도 있었습니다. 그 친구가 주유소에서 기름을 넣을 때 주유 직원이 카드 복사기계를 이용하여 친구 카드를 복사하여 물건을 샀답니다.

On New Year’s Day, the first day of the new year, there’s always a big parade in London. It doesn’t start early in the morning because most people need to sleep late after all the parties.
The parade starts at 11.45am on Piccadilly outside the Ritz Hotel and finishes around 3pm at Parliament Square.
The way of the parade is always the same: Piccadilly, Piccadilly Circus, Regent Street, Waterloo Place, Pall Mall, Cockspur Street, Trafalgar Square, Whitehall and Parliament Square.
You can buy tickets and watch the parade from special places or just stand at the side of a street and see everything from there – just like about half a million other people.
The VIPs sit at the end of the parade’s way opposite King Street.
But why do so many people come to this event?
It is because you can see bands from many countries, clowns and people in fancy dresses just like on carnival in Germany. You can really have fun at this parade but the best thing is to be member in one of the bands or the groups in this parade.
