Why I started learning English.
It was my sixth grade in my primary school.
I heard that a new subject would start in junior high school.
The subject seemed attractive to me.
The reason I thought it’s attractive was that it could describe everything in the world with only 26 characters.
I thought English was very simple compared to Japanese.
It was a pain in my ass at that time to learn Chinese characters which I thought I had to endlessly memorize.
If I memorize only 26 characters, I can communicate with everyone in the world.
I don’t know why, but that’s what I thought.
Now I know the world is not so simple.
