Ingrid said that she had lived in Scotland for many years. She said that she had gone to Edinburgh with her husband shortly after getting married. She told me that her children had been born there, and only recently had they moved back to London. She said that for eleven years they had lived in a house owned by the company, and now they were looking for a place of their own. I asked her what she thought of
Scotland, and she said that she liked it, all except the weather. She said that the weather is terrible up there. It doesn't stop raining. She said that in the south of England it doesn't rain half as much. She said that she was a bit fed up with so much rain. She was sorry for the children, though.
