This is a poem by Michael O. Adesanya that my daughter's teacher picked for her to perform on a stage on the coming Mother's day. Please help us learn the right and natural way to read this poem.
There are times only when a Mother's love
Can understand our tears,
Can soothe our disappointments
And calm all our fears.
There are times when only a Mother's Love
Can share the joy we feel
When something we've dreamed about
Quite suddenly is real.
There are times when only a Mother's faith
Can help on life's way
And inspire in us the confidence
We need from day to day.
For a Mother's heart and a Mother's faith
And a Mother's steadfast love
Were fashioned by the Angels
And sent from God above...
God bless my wonderful mother and I love you mother.
Hi! The first line as you posted it didn't make sense in English (with "only" before "when") so I Googled the poem, and it appears that that was a typo, so I went ahead and fixed it.
