This is a small list of minimal pairs I'm using to practice some ear training. I was wondering if you could record each word with the same intonation. Natural speed is quite alright for me. (And if you have some suggestions of some other examples of minimal pairs in Italian, I'm all ears)
1. bello, sera
2. otto sole
Watch out! Your pair contrast è with é: and ò with o: but actually closed doesn't necessarily mean long and open doesn't necessarily mean short (although I don't have è: in my variety of Italian).
I have:
1. erba (open short), esca (closed short), era (closed long)
2. ossa (open short), oca (open long), ombra (closed short), ora (closed long)
