Note to recorder:

I need 2 people (gender is not important even though it's written Sophie and Liam). Natural speed. Thank you !

Sophie: I’ve been thinking about our city trip—what do you think about Paris? It’s such an iconic place. I’ve always dreamed of seeing the Eiffel Tower, wandering through the Louvre, and soaking in the atmosphere of Montmartre.
Liam: Paris? I mean, it’s famous, sure, but it’s so touristy. I read somewhere that you can spend hours just waiting in line for things. And people say you have to be careful not to get ripped off by overpriced cafés and hustlers trying to sell you overpriced souvenirs around the tourist spots.
Sophie: You always say that about big cities! I don’t mind the crowds. It’s such a bustling city—so much art, culture, and history. You know how much I love that kind of energy. Don’t you think it’s exciting?
Liam: Well I think it can be exciting, but it’s also pretty hectic. Why not go somewhere that’s more forward-thinking? Have you heard about Copenhagen? I read it’s considered one of the greenest cities in the world. They’re leading the way in sustainable urban design and eco-friendly living. Some areas are still unspoilt, and you can actually have it to yourself in some places.
Sophie: Copenhagen does sound interesting, but isn’t it a bit... I don’t know, quiet? Paris is lively and romantic. I imagine Copenhagen would feel too laid-back, like the kind of place people describe as “nice” but not thrilling; nothing to write home about.
Liam: That’s not what I’ve heard. People say Copenhagen is cutting-edge. They’ve designed entire neighborhoods around cycling instead of cars. And it’s not just green spaces; I’ve heard they’re integrating technology and sustainability in ways that make it one of the most livable cities in the world. Someone even said the architecture there is stunning—modern but perfectly in harmony with nature.
Sophie: Hmm, that does sound impressive. But is there actually much to do? Paris is packed with iconic landmarks. I can’t think of anyone ever raving about must-see spots in Copenhagen and I don’t want to end up bored in the suburbs with nothing to do.
Liam: It depends on what you’re into. Sure, Paris has its monuments, but Copenhagen is more about the experience. I’ve heard people say that walking through Nyhavn or visiting Tivoli Gardens is magical. And the suburbs like Ørestad? They’re futuristic and spacious—nothing like the cramped streets of Paris where people live on top of one another.
Sophie: Alright, but Paris has that glamorous feel. Copenhagen might seem... too practical.
Liam: I said it was practical, but I meant that in a good way! Practical can be inspiring. The city isn’t tacky or run-down like parts of Paris can be—it’s clean, modern, and full of charm. And you always tell me you like cities that are a little different.
Sophie: You’re starting to convince me. It does sound like a great example of what cities could become. But what about the food? Paris is world-famous for its cuisine.
Liam: I heard that Copenhagen’s food scene is incredible! They’ve got top-tier restaurants like Noma, but also tons of cozy, local spots. Apparently, their focus on local and organic ingredients makes everything taste amazing.
Sophie: Hmm, I do like the idea of visiting a place that’s so forward-thinking... and it would be nice to get away from the usual tourist traps.
Liam: Exactly. Someone once told me that you can’t beat the feeling of exploring a city that’s genuinely innovative and not just about ticking off a checklist.
Sophie: Alright, you’ve convinced me. Let’s try something different this time.
Liam: Perfect. I promise you won’t regret it!
