The United Kingdom
The capital of the United Kingdom is London. We haven’t got a president, but a Queen (our queen is Queen Elizabeth II, and she lives at Buckingham Palace in London) There are about 60 million British people. The United Kingdom is made up of 4 countries: England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. We go shopping with pounds and pence. Remember: there are 100 pence in 1 pound. Our Prime Minister now is David Cameron. He lives at 10, Downing street in London. Our flag, the Union Jack, is red, blue and white.
