I slept well last night, and this morning, I woke up at 6.15 a.m. I immediately made my bed. I set the table for breakfast. I drank tea and I ate toast with butter and jam. Then, I had / took a shower. I left the house at 8.15 a.m. I took a bus to the city centre. I went to a bookshop and I bought two books. I came back home just before lunch.
After lunch, I sat down on the couch / sofa and I began to read a book. The title was The History of the English Language and there were pictures to illustrate some paragraphs. I read fifty pages. I already knew a lot about the history of English but I also learnt new things. I found the beginning of the book extremely interesting. At 4 p.m. the phone rang. It was my mother. Two weeks ago, I drove to the seaside. I swam in the sea for 20 minutes. I met some children on the beach and spent some time with them. We built a huge sandcastle. At one point, I cut my finger on a seashell. It hurt and it bled a little. The waves finally broke our sandcastle. Then, we wrote our names on the wet sand and we drew stars around them. We saw lots of seagulls in the sky.
Last weekend, I put on a warm sweater and chose to go to the forest for a change. I brought my dog Barney with me. We ran for 30 minutes. Then, I threw Barney his favourite ball. He caught it every time! We went back home and I fed Barney. I thought about our nice walk in the forest. I felt very tired and I shut my eyes for a few minutes. I almost fell asleep on the sofa!
Three days ago, I bought a dress which cost £70. I paid for it with my credit card and spent £15 on a nice necklace. The shop assistant also sold me a pretty pair of shoes to go with the dress.
I wore the dress yesterday evening at Jane’s party. I gave Jane her birthday present. I got her a Harry Potter limited edition collection. She said it meant a lot to her! We sang a lot at her party. Jane showed us some pictures of her last holidays.
