Hi, my name is Ruby. I’m 14 years old and from New York in the United States of America. I have an older brother Hugo, a younger sister Alicia and a cat called Charly. This summer I will be going to the Pine Forest Camp in Philadelphia. It’s about 1.5 hours drive in the car. I can’t wait! It’s going to be awesome! The camp is for outdoor activities and is in the middle of the forest and nature. There are so many activities to do such as horse-riding, rock climbing, walking and swimming in the river. We will sleep in wooden cabins and have BBQs each evening. We are not allowed our mobile telephones or any electronic items including the television. I will arrive on the Sunday. Monday morning will be the Welcome Speech with the camp councillors then we will go for an orientation walk. On Tuesday we will go horse riding (this is my favourite activity). On Wednesday we will do rock climbing in the morning, then swimming in the afternoon. On Thursday we will do walking in the morning and horse riding in the afternoon. On Friday we will do outdoor cooking over the fire then painting in the afternoon. On Saturday there is more horse-riding and a big camp party for the last night. Finally on Sunday we have to pack up and leave. I will be sad to leave the camp. Have a great summer holiday everyone!
Your original writing used very British language, such as Horse Riding rather than Horseback riding, and a brother called Hugo (I've never met an American called Hugo), Mobile Telephone rather than cell phone. I grew up in both the US and Canada so my accent shouldn't be too strongly Canadian for this exercise. I made some edits to try to make it sound more natural too, as it was a little confusing to read originally.
