when you say أين alone or at the end of a sentence, you say it as ayn(أينْ). But when you say it in the middle of a sentence or at the beginning, you say it as ayna (أينَ).
As you asked for 'where is..' I am expecting it to be at the beginning so I recorded it as ayna (أينَ).
I hope I helped :)

@dcaddict - Interesting! I've only just started learning Arabic (just out of pure interest). Not sure how far I will go with it but learning little things like that is really helpful. Not every user would bother putting up this information so thanks!

Maybe I could possibly make another recording for (أينَ) just for data purposes (and just to help pronunciation).

So, i'm guessing normal speakers don't bother writing the fathah (فَتْحَة) in practice? :p

No, I guess it is ignored because it is already know how to read it. In some words, changing the tashkeel (fathah, damah and kasrah) changes the meaning of the word. This is when tashkeel is needed.
You're welcome :)
From your profile, I've noticed you're a language lover. You must be very sociable! ^^
