Natural speed please. I'd like the recording to sound as authentic as possible. Thank you. There are two people involved in the conversation but one recorder can be enough.
1: Who are those people?
2: Which two?
1: At the back of the room - I think they're in a mirror?
2: Ah, well, that's the king and queen. King Phillip the fourth and Queen Mariana.
1: So is it a mirror?
2: Yes, it is.
1: So that means the king and queen are in the room as well?
2: That's right. They're probably stranding where we are.
1: So we're looking through their eyes?
2: Yes. And in fact the princess and the people are looking at the king and queen, not at us.
1: Oh, OK.
2: There's something else interesting in the picture too. You see the painter Velasquez there on the left?
1: Uh huh?
2: Well, he's wearing a black jacket and there's a red cross on the front of it.
1: Yes.
2: Well, that's the symbol of the Order of Saint James. The king made him a member of that order.
1: Oh, yeah?
2: But that was was three years after Velazquez painted the picture.
1: Oh - so how is it in the picture?
2: Well, some people say that the king painted it there himself.
1: Oh, right.
