Note to recorder:

Hi, I need a native speaker to read this at a natural (but not too fast) speed for my students. Thanks a lot

Down in the valley, there are three farms. The owners of these farms are rich. They are also nasty men. Their names are Farmer Boggis, Farmer Bunce and Farmer Bean.

Boggis is a chicken farmer. He has got thousands of chickens. He is enormously fat, because he eats three chickens with dumplings every day for breakfast, lunch and supper.

Bunce is a duck and goose farmer. He has got thousands of ducks and geese. He is really really short. He eats some doughnuts and goose livers. This diet gives him a tummy-ache and he is angry.

Bean is a turkey and apple farmer. He has got thousands of turkeys in an orchard full of apple trees. He never eats any food. But he drinks a lot of cider. He is slim and really clever.

“Boggis and Bunce and Bean
One fat, one short, one lean.
These horrible crooks
So different in looks
Were equally mean.”

That is what the children sing when they see the three farmers.
