Faculty, family, friends and of course fellow graduates of the greatest class of Udmurt State University of 2015. I’m here today to reflect upon our past 4 years of studying and to talk to you about our bright future.
During these 4 years we've learned a lot. We learned how to cope with difficulties and how to work with different people whom with maybe we didn’t get along with so well. We learned how to live without parents, and how not to fall asleep during classes. This will never be forgotten.
But to be honest, I will never forget the people that I met here. I met some great people. We all hung out in between classes, went to dinner together, went to picnics and got sun-burned. We compared notes about professors and classes; confused each other about home tasks, complained to each other about the dorm rules, and the amount of homework we had to do. I remember how we tried to find the room for the German class during the lunch break because we decided to change our schedule since just didn’t want to wake up early and come to the class. We went together to the school gym for the first time, watched some movies in the dorm, and took selfies when it got boring. Even though we had some conflicts during our 4 years that we thought “we are never ever ever getting back together” we still supported each other through thick and thin, we shaped each other for better and for worse, and we’ve become strong capable individuals who you are now sitting next to.
Udmurt State University discovered our talents. Who knew that among us there are poets, singers, dancers, actors, athletes, as well as good orators. We participated in different projects and contests, we also organized some memorable events. This university taught us that we are capable of doing anything we set our minds to. When we leave this place I want to make sure that you all know that you can achieve any accomplishment you wish, and that all our dreams can come true, and we can become whoever we want to be in life.
In saying this, I would like to wish you all happy adventures, amazing experiences and the journey of a lifetime. Don’t be afraid to be yourself, and be true to who you are, always. And as Ellen DeGeneres said “Follow your passion, stay true to yourself, never follow someone else's path unless you’re in the woods and you’re lost and you see a path then by all means you should follow that.”
Thank you for everything and congratulations to the class of 2015!
