The Statue of Liberty
The Statue of Liberty is on an island off New York.
This statue was a gift given to America by French people.
Its full name is " Liberty Enlightening the world."
It represents a woman, it is 46 metres high and it is made of copper.
It is holding a torch in its right hand and in its left hand it is holding a tablet. It is wearing a crown with 7 spikes, the 7 spikes represent the seven seas and continents.
The Statue of Liberty is the symbol of friendship between France and the United State of America and a symbol of freedom.
